This world is
far more beautiful
and far more radiant
than we ever imagined.
We want you to remember that.
With this wish in our hearts,
and through countless meaningful connections,
a two-night, three-day journey was born:
“A Journey Down Memory Lane”
This is nehan Retreat.

Welcome home, to yourself.
Thank you for taking the time
to read this letter.
The day you were born,
it felt as though I had received
everything the world had to offer.
The days you were here with me
were filled with beauty and shimmer,
each and every one of them.
Allow me to speak on behalf of
all fathers and mothers everywhere.
“Thank you.”
And you,
carried by many encounters and unseen currents,
have arrived here, now.
That makes us truly happy.
“How has your life been so far?”
Moments of joy and moments of pain.
Times that were exciting, and times that were sorrowful.
Moments that required courage.
Moments you endured through earnest effort.
There must have been so many.
A life vivid in color,
strong and full of momentum.
I imagine your eyes are honest and clear.
Life is still long.
How will you live?
What truly matters to you?
Where do you wish to go?
You have likely spent much time
thinking deeply about these questions.
And at times, you may have felt lost.
For you, we simply wish this:
That you may trust
the voice of your own heart.
That is our hope.
Now then,
nehan Retreat is
a “Journey Down Memory Lane.”
Steve Jobs once spoke of the importance
of remembering death.

“If you live each day
as if it was your last,
someday
you’ll most certainly be right.”
The expectations of others, pride,
the fear of embarrassment,
the fear of failure,
all fall away in the face of death.
Only what truly matters remains.
By becoming aware of death,
we come to understand
what is truly important to us,
and we are able to follow
the voice within our hearts.
We believe this as well.
By facing “death”
and experiencing a life flashback,
you may awaken to something essential.
We sincerely hope that you will carry
that realization back into your daily life,
and begin to live more fully,
more honestly.
With this intention,
and through the bonds of many people,
the “Journey Down Memory Lane”
was born as nehan Retreat.
For you,
what is “truly important”?
What does it mean to “live well”?
If this retreat can help you
remember those answers for yourself,
even just a little,
we would be deeply grateful.
nehan Retreat
takes place over two nights and three days.
Surrounded by vast nature,
you will stay at our retreat center
and repeatedly engage in our original practices,
centered around the breath.
nehan’s breathing practices are deep
and sustained for long periods of time.
Please approach them with seriousness,
as one would a discipline.
There may be moments of difficulty.
But beyond them,
new ways of seeing the world await you.
You may feel anxious,
but please rest assured.
All who have participated before you
have faced the process with focus,
moved beyond it,
and returned to their daily lives
with bright, open smiles,
seeing life in an entirely new way.
Voice of Participantes
Indian Astrologer, Therapist, and Writer
The altered states of consciousness were profoundly powerful, opening doorways to soul-stirring inner landscapes where grief, anger, and deep happiness rose from within again and again.
In the forest of nehan, I encountered a beautiful state of awareness that gives birth to true abundance.
Founder & CEO of a Marketing Company, Gallery Director
I polished my skills, expressed my talents, earned more, gained more recognition…
And yet, deep inside, something kept crying out, this isn’t it.
Now, I feel that what we need most in order to truly live well
may be a sense of meaning.
The journey to find that meaning
was the three days I spent at nehan.

The moment of breakthrough, when the heart is flooded with genuine gratitude, is truly extraordinary.
You come to feel the mystery of the breath itself.
The nehan Retreat is a rare and beautiful integration of science and spirituality.
I believe it is one of the most refined and advanced paths to awakening available in the modern age.
In a space filled with quietness and warmth, supported by Rie and Yoshi’s deep sense of holding and compassion, I felt accepted exactly as I was. That sense of safety allowed me to turn inward more deeply than ever before.
It is an experience that truly transforms one’s life.

Through the breathing practices and various other modalities, I felt healing and strength rising from the deepest layers of my soul.
The vision I encountered there has since become a guiding compass for my life.

By moving beyond my limits, I encountered a new version of myself.
It was a retreat that truly expanded who I am.

Having already grasped the essence during my first experience, this time I was able to go much deeper.
The flow from deep breathing, into the exploration of my own “origin breath” through a dance workshop, and then into the breathing practice itself was exceptionally well designed. Because the body had fully expressed and released itself beforehand, the depth of the breath afterward was entirely different.
I encountered a relationship with breath that went far beyond even my previous experience.
After being guided to hold my breath, continuing to hold it felt unexpectedly comfortable, as if I could remain there forever.
It was an encounter with the hidden potential of my physical body, and at the same time, a return of the mind to the body.
In that moment, a deep sense of gratitude overflowed, a desire to trust this body once again, to cherish it, and to live fully through it.

From beginning to end, everything was unpredictable.
Every moment was new.
Every experience connected me to the deepest parts of myself.
And every experience ultimately led to joy.
Those who have the chance to go through this
are truly fortunate.

The true root of that feeling, I came to realize, lay in the emotional wall I had built in my relationship with my mother.
When I faced myself deeply during the retreat and became aware of this, my frozen heart began, little by little, to thaw.
From there, a new relationship with my family emerged, and with it, the beginning of a second life.

Relaxation Practitioner
Within that space, I encountered light, and also faced the essence that had been quietly hidden within my unconscious.
With each practice, it felt like gently and patiently untying myself, step by step.
For me, it was a journey of the soul.

Yoga Psychology Instructor
The depth at which I was able to face myself was truly striking.
What also left a strong impression was the quality of the space itself.
Each participant had come with sincere intention, fully committed to meeting themselves honestly, and that collective seriousness created a remarkably strong and supportive field.

Yet as I spent time gently holding the emotions that overflowed, I found myself dissolving into oneness with the universe.
My heart softened and opened,
and I was guided by a stream of beautiful inspiration.
