It’s incredibly difficult to express in words—with that preface, Mr. Katsuyoshi Park quietly began to speak.
As an entrepreneur and marketer who has created numerous businesses, what he shared after completing his 2-night, 3-day stay at nehan was a simple yet fundamental realization that we tend to lose sight of in daily life.
Remembering, Realizing—Reclaiming What Was Already There
What kind of experience was this nehan retreat for you?
Paku
In one sentence, I realized that even though there’s so much love in this world,
I had been distracted and misled by various things and had forgotten it.
I felt this sense of realizing there is infinite love.
Paku
The sensation of “remembering” is closest, and the sensation of “realizing” is also very close.
Once I realized it, tremendous inner power overflowed, and it became incredibly fun.
Mr. Park repeated the expressions “remembering” and “realizing” several times throughout this conversation. Not “learning” or “acquiring” something, but “remembering” and “realizing.”
Rather than taking in new skills or knowledge from outside, rediscovering what was already within oneself.
Many of us living in modern times focus our consciousness on chasing goals, solving problems, and advancing to the next stage. In that process, we may tend to forget—as “things we take for granted”—the important things constantly before us: family, companions, the power within ourselves.
Paku
I was enjoying life, but now it’s like, wow, it’s even more incredibly fun.
And all of that was there from the beginning—that’s my impression. Everything flipped.
Paku
I realized this sensation that all the various worries and conflicts are okay.
“Everything flipped”—meaning the way he sees the world fundamentally changed.
The seeds of worries and conflicts haven’t “disappeared.” Yet he can feel that “everything is okay.”
Looking at the same reality, but its meaning appears completely different. Many people at nehan retreats experience such transformations—truly a “paradigm shift.”
I Want to Express Gratitude to My Beloved Wife and Son, and Those Who Shared This Time
Mr. Park shared what he wanted to do first upon returning to daily life from nehan.
Paku
First, I want to properly express gratitude to my beloved wife and son.
I want to bring flowers and apologize for how I couldn’t notice all the love that was there.
I want to say thank you, I want to say I love you. I have many things to say to my wife. I want to properly convey that.
He has surely cherished his family before, yet he said he wants to apologize for “not noticing” when he returns home.
The relationship with his family itself hasn’t changed, but through this retreat, he seems to have noticed so much of the “meaning” and “precious things” overflowing within his family.
Paku
To these people who spent these three days with me—it’s a bit difficult to express how,
but to these precious people with whom I have this incredibly deep connection—I want to properly express my gratitude.
People who spend the 2 nights and 3 days at nehan retreats at the same time sometimes feel a special connection with each other. This happens regardless of whether they knew each other beforehand.
The saying “people are mirrors” is apt—others truly reflect ourselves.
In other words, through others, we can look more deeply at ourselves. Mr. Park may have found something special in those who spent the nehan retreat with him.
Paku
Using what I learned, this inner power as driving force, I want to express many things.
Since I run a company, the company itself is an expression, and business is expression too—but I thought, let’s express the hell out of it.
With the energy welling up from within as his driving force, he will surely continue—even more powerfully—to advance many expressions and businesses.
An Experience Only nehan Has—The Pride of Professionals
As an entrepreneur/marketer involved in numerous businesses, how does Mr. Park perceive nehan retreats?
Paku
These three days are truly an experience that only exists at nehan.
So many people are involved, and behind the scenes, truly dozens of people—the top of the top professionals—are involved in creating this.
Paku
Yoshi-san, Rie-san, Nadi-san who were there, and Megumi-san who guided us this time—they truly take pride in this work.
That’s probably why it becomes this kind of experience.
nehan retreats are not mere wellness programs.
Each person involved takes pride in creating this space and, as professionals, strives to deliver the best experience. That attitude is transmitted to participants and the space itself, elevating the quality of the experience.
Paku
It’s almost presumptuous to even speak of its value—there’s this mysterious infinite love.
It truly embodies what nehan retreat is—it becomes that kind of experience.
An experience so profound that it feels “presumptuous to even speak of its value.”
That suggests something exists on a different dimension from ordinary services or programs.

If It Resonates, Please Come Visit
Finally, Mr. Park left a message for those who will visit nehan.
Paku
Without thinking too much about various things, if it resonates with you even a little, maybe you should come visit.
I think you’ll be wrapped in something incredibly gentle, you’ll be intensely surprised, and in the end, tremendous energy will well up.
There’s no need to perfectly grasp or understand beforehand why you should go or what you’ll gain.
If you intuitively feel “there might be something here,” that alone is reason enough.
Paku
I want to come back with precious people when I feel like I’m about to forget something important.
Thank you very much.
When you return to daily life, you’ll again be distracted by various things and feel like you’re forgetting what’s important. When that happens, you can just come back here.
As “a place to realize your true self,” nehan will continue to welcome those who visit.
