Please tell us about your daily activities.
I teach two forms of dance: Flamenco and Movement Medicine. Movement Medicine is a practice based on the idea that “movement is medicine.” It involves listening to how your body wants to move and connecting with the wisdom held within. My core mission is to ignite the joy of living through these two dances and to co-create moments that celebrate this life.
What are the thoughts and intentions behind your work?
Through my encounter with dance, I was able to remember who I am and why I was born on this Earth. By expressing not only beautiful emotions but also the anger and sadness I had pressed deep down through dance, a door within me opened.
I sense and express the unknown territories within myself with curiosity and acceptance rather than fear. I let my authentic self circulate as naturally as breathing. Through this repetition, I was finally able to give myself permission to live as who I truly am.
In Israel and Palestine, where I used to live, conflicts continue without end. I believe the answer to how we humans can choose options other than war and how people can truly live in peace lies in dance. I work with the belief that each individual living their true self gives us the power to choose peace in this world.
Please tell us about your role at nehan.
At nehan retreats, I am in charge of programs as a facilitator of Movement Medicine.
First, we feel our “present” selves. Savor the breathing body. Remember the earth beneath our feet. Receive the sunlight and feel the wind. Through feeling, the heart settles into the space created. We open our consciousness and switch on our imagination. We move through the landscapes and emotions that emerge. We re-weave the broken threads. We embody the non-verbal realms that cannot be put into words. In this journey, the body, heart, and consciousness become one, returning to the very essence of our original selves. I facilitate a space where we walk this process together. No one is left behind here. I value sharing this time as a “tribe” and a large family with all the participants.
Finally, do you have a message for the readers?
I love the forest of nehan. The river flows, the wind blows between the trees, people gather, and everything visible and invisible becomes one, where lives and souls resonate with each other.
At a nehan retreat, you will experience the richness of life, including tears, joy, pain, and bliss. Through that experience, you will remember your true self and take it back into your daily life. I will guide you on such a journey. The forest of nehan and I are waiting for you, who have received the calling.
